New kites for 2027: what changes at Duotone and North

Brands began showing their 2027 gear in August. This is a summary of what brands and shops have published. windtops has not tested any of these products, and the gains below are those reported by manufacturers and retailers.
Duotone: lighter construction across the range
According to the shop Worthing Watersports, the main change is construction. The brand cites Micro Loop Connections up to 50% lighter with the same durability, and Micro Batten Construction up to 40% lighter per kite, with less flutter at the tips.
- Evo D/LAB (6 to 13 m): keeps the three Aluula D/TX struts, with quicker response and more direct steering.
- Evo SLS (5 to 13 m): drops the Flex Strut and moves to higher inflation pressure.
- Rebel SLS (6 to 14 m): leading edge with less drag and a quicker climb in jumps.
- Neo SLS (5 to 12 m): new Hybrid Flex Strut, with faster turning.
- Dice SLS (6 to 13 m): revised strut layout for calmer flight.
- Select SLS: a wider board that gets planing earlier.
- Entity 360: new binding with two adjustment dials, about 20% lighter than the previous one.
In Europe, Kite Culture recorded the Evo D/LAB 2027 at 2,599 euros, in eight sizes, reaching the official store on 19 August. That is a month earlier than the 2026 collection, launched in September 2025.
North: a new Orbit
North put the Orbit 2027 in its official store in August. According to Kite Culture, the bridle was updated and the profile refined, while the N-Max2 Pro frame, the 5-point bridle and the 6 to 14 m sizes stay the same. The European price is between 1,879 and 2,119 euros, against 1,649 euros for the Orbit 2026. The brand says the model keeps the previous performance with better aerodynamic efficiency.
